The ALPINE drill bits are made from specially hardened materials to ensure durability and maximum reliability when drilling long hole sections in horizontal directional drilling operations (HDD). A specialized drill bit, dedicated to ensure the best performance in critical operating environments.
• Cutting Structure: Depending on the formation hardness these bits have tungsten carbide inserts as their cutting structure to provide drilling efficiency, maximum wear resistance and extended bit life.
• Leg shirttail protection: The default design entails TCI 3/3 on the leg shirttail (full coverage) as well as hard facing on all the edges of leg shirttail for enhanced leg protection.
• Lubrication System: The bit lubrication system is designed for grease and pressure compensation.
